Every 24 hours, or any part of 24 hours is considered a day. There is a one-day minimum charge for all rentals. A delay of up to 59 minutes is acceptable. In case of  a 60-minute or longer delay the daily or extra-day charge will be applied. Rentals returned after due date without prior arrangements will be charged for extra-time period.
U&k offers long-term rentals of 2 to 11 months / Mini Lease/ and of 1 to 4 years /Operational Leasing/.

The minimum age for renting a car is 21 years. The minimum age required for some vehicle categories is 23 or 25. For drivers under the age of 23 there is an additional fee of 20.00 BGN per day, but not more than 60.00 BGN for the whole rental period.

DOCUMENTS

At the time of renting the renter must present:

• a valid driver's licence held for at least 12 months prior to rental. An international driving permit is also required if the national driving license is not in Roman alphabet.
• a valid passport or ID card /for citizens of European community/  as proof of identity

   

Only the renter has the right to drive the car. Additional drivers are possible with a fee of 20.00 BGN per driver, but not more than 80.00 BGN for the whole rental period.. The additional driver must be named in the contract at the time of rental. The renter is responsible for all payments according to the contract.

Third Party Liability Insurance includes at no additional charge coverage against bodily injury to third party persons other than the driver and against property damage to anything other than the rented vehicle and its contents. Third Party Liability Insurance covers property damages up to 200000.00 BGN, bodily injury to third party persons up to 700000.00 BGN per person for every incident and 1000000.00 BGN for groups per incident.

U&K offers additional equipment as follows:

• 3 types of safety seats for children, for all vehicle categories:

Infant seat - for infants up to 13 kg,
Toddler safety seat - for children up to 18 kg,
Child booster seat - for children up to 36 kg.
The rental fee is 15.00 BGN per rental.

• Snow chains - the rental cost is 10.00 BGN for the whole rental period.
• Navigaton system /GPS/ - the rental fee is 20.00 BGN per day, but not more than 60.00 BGN for the whole rental period.

   

CDW limits your financial responsibility for damage to the vehicle and its parts in case of fire, natural disaster, road traffic accident or malicious acts by third parties. CDW may be mandatory and included in some contract or preferential rates.
CDW non-waivable excess. All rentals are subject to a non-waivable excess, ranging from BGN 300.00 to BGN 1200.00 depending on the vehicle category, for wich you are responsible in the event of damage to the U&K vehicle during the rental.

TP limits your financial responsibility for loss or theft of the U&K vehicle, its parts and accessories, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. TP may be mandatory and included in some contract or preferential rates.
TP non-waivable excess. All rentals are subject to a non-waivable excess, ranging from BGN 300.00 to BGN 1200.00 depending on the vehicle category, for wich you are resposible in the event of loss or theft of the vehicle during the rental.

If you opt for, or if your rate includes CDW and TP, you may also wish to purchase an additional protection, Super Collision Damage Waiver/Theft Protection ( SCDW/TP ) to reduce to 0 the amount of the Non-Waivable Excess in case of damage to or loss of the U&K vehicle, its parts and accessories.
SCDW/TP is not available for some contracts or rates and may be included in some preferential rates.
CDW, TP and SCDW/TP reduce the renter's responsibility for damage to the U&K vehicle with the exception of:

• Inadequate refueling or lack of fuel;
• Damage to tires and wheel rims not caused by fire or accident;
• Loss or damage car key or remote locks;
• Inside damage and damage to the upholstery;
• Damage or loss of the additional equipment;
• Damage or loss of the antena, car jack, security triangles, wiper-blades, deposit cap and wheel covers;
• Underside damage;
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
• Written statement by police not presented  at time of check in.

In these cases, as well as when the terms and conditions of the rental agreement are not observed, the renter is responsible for damage up to the full value of the vehicle.

 

In case of accident, even when the vehicle is parked and the culprit is unknown, the renter is supposed to obtain a police report immediately without moving the rented car from the place of accident. Otherwise CDW is considered void and the renter is responsible for damages up to the full value of the vehicle.
In case of theft of the vehicle the renter is supposed to obtain a police report immediately. Otherwise TP is considered void and the renter is responsible for damages up to the full value of the vehicle. For every road accident or theft of the rented vehicle the renter is supposed to inform U&K immediately.

The renter cannot keep the rented vehicle documents inside the car, when the car is parked. U&K is not responsible for loss of personal documents and luggage at the time of the rental. The renter is supposed to keep doors locked when vehicle is parked and turn the alarm on when the vehicle is parked.

Maintenance and repair of the vehicle is included in the rental price and is provided  by U&K.
The rented vehicle can be replaced in case of proved technical breakdown or traffic accident.  Replacement car may be included in some contracts or preferential rates.Please, check this option when renting the vehicle. All visible damage on the vehicle must be documented at the time of renting.

All charges and fines during the rental period are at the expence of the renter.

Delivery/Collection service is available on the client's request. Please, check its availability and cost  when booking the car.
The charges for delivery/collection service out of working hours is as follows:
from 7.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m.- 30 BGN,
from 11.00 p.m. to 7.00 a.m. - 50 BGN.

Fuel is not included in the rental charges. All vehicles are rented with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank or a local refuelling charge stated in the rental agreement will be applied.

A cash or credit card / authorization / deposit will be required in most cases when you pick up your U&K rental car. The deposit ensures that the customers can cover the rental charges which they are supposed to pay in accordance with the terms and conditions of rental agreement. A credit card in the main driver's name is mandatory for renting some vehicle categories. Normally,  the amount of deposit covers the estimated charges, plus excess amount, plus fuel deposit. U&K doesn't accept debit cards for the means of deposit.

The payment of all rental is supposed to be made when you drop off  your U&K rental car.
U&K accept payments in cash; credit cards - Visa, MasterCard or Diners Club; debit cards, as well as bank transfer / in case of special agreement between the Client and U&K.
